Our University Inclusivity and Diversity Training Program offers comprehensive consultancy services to help higher education institutions create inclusive environments for all students and staff. With a focus on LGBTQ+ inclusivity, our services align with the Gender Recognition Act (2004) and the Equality Act (2010), supporting universities in their commitment to equal rights.

Our consultancy is fully customised to meet the unique needs of each university, providing expert guidance and support in LGBTQ+ inclusivity. From policy reviews to staff training, we deliver practical, relevant solutions that align with institutional goals. Here’s how we can support your university:
- Policy Review and Compliance: Ensuring that policies reflect inclusivity and align with the Gender Recognition Act (2004) and the Equality Act (2010).
- Inclusion Action Plans: Developing and implementing strategies for inclusivity.
- Staff and Student Networks: Providing training and materials to support inclusive networks and communities.
- Operational Management Support: Assisting with management issues related to inclusivity.
- Customised Training: Offering tailored training sessions as either stand-alone modules or part of a broader inclusivity initiative.
Core Training Modules
Our training modules provide essential insights into LGBTQ+ inclusivity and can be tailored to any university setting. Sessions are designed for up to 20 participants to foster a private and engaging learning environment.
Half-Day Module
(3 hours)
- Defining LGBTQ+ identities and understanding community history.
- Identifying and challenging homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia.
- Exploring normativity and unconscious bias.
- Recognising the impact of LGBTQ+ discrimination and bias on individuals.
Full-Day Module
(6 hours)
- Includes all topics from the half-day module, plus:
- Analysing work practices for LGBTQ+ inclusivity
- Applying knowledge of unconscious bias in daily practices
- Developing actionable steps to improve inclusivity in university environments.
