Inclusivity and Diversity Training with Equity Partnership

Core Units

At Equity Partnership, we offer a bespoke range of training modules designed to raise awareness of LGBTQ+ issues, drawing on our years of professional knowledge and expertise.

We provide training to any organisation working with people, especially those who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community, and we have exclusive units tailored for children and young people.

Our training sessions are designed for groups of up to 20 people and delivered in person, providing a private space for questions and discussion.

Additional Training Options

What sets Equity Partnership’s training apart is the option to add subject-specific units to enhance your core training on LGBTQ+ issues. This allows your organisation or educational facility to tailor the training to your unique needs.

Our training is an excellent way to boost knowledge in specific areas for you and your team, addressing particular areas of concern or known issues. This ensures that you and your team will have the tools to work confidently and effectively with an increased knowledge base.

Our additional units build on the core training options and can be booked either alongside or after completing the core training. Additional units can be facilitated online (for up to 12 people) or in person (for up to 20 people), with the exception of the Trans and Gender Identity module, which is in-person only.

Workshops for Children and Young People

At Equity Partnership, we also offer tailored workshops for children and young people. Designed with input from education providers, these workshops aim to raise awareness about gender, diversity, and sexuality in age-appropriate ways. Our workshops are available for students in Key Stages 2, 3, 4, and 5.

We collaborate with schools to create workshops that meet the specific needs of their students and age groups. We strive to address the particular issues concerning young people and tailor our training to meet those needs. While a one-hour session is usually ideal, we can adjust the duration as needed.

Our workshops not only help meet statutory RSE (Relationships and Sex Education) requirements but also foster a safer and more inclusive educational environment for young people.

We take pride in the material we deliver and the positive feedback we receive from our workshops.

Depending on the age group, our workshops can cover a variety of topics, including:

  1. Understanding gender and diversity
  2. Exploring different sexual orientations
  3. Combating stereotypes and biases
  4. Promoting inclusive behaviours and respect.

Additional Services: External Training Days

We offer a one-day (6-hour) core LGBTQ+ training session at our community centre in central Bradford. These sessions are open to individuals and are limited to 20 participants per session. To ensure diverse participation, we request that no more than two members from the same organisation attend the same session.

If there are specific areas of interest or concerns you would like us to address during the training, please contact us in advance. We are happy to incorporate relevant topics into the session.

Consultancy Services

At Equity Partnership, we offer consultancy services to statutory, voluntary, and private sector organisations, including schools and further and higher education establishments.

Our consultancy service is tailored to meet the specific needs of each organisation. By leveraging our expertise in LGBTQ+ issues, we provide support to help you comply with the Gender Recognition Act (2004) and the Equality Act (2010).

Here’s how we can assist your organisation:

  • Policy Reviews: We ensure your policies appropriately represent and include the requirements of the Gender Recognition Act and the Equality Act
  • Inclusion Action Plans: We help create and support the implementation of plans to promote inclusivity within your organisation
  • Staff/Student Networks: We offer training modules and materials to support your staff and student networks
  • Operational Management Support: We assist in resolving operational management issues related to LGBTQ+ inclusivity
  • Bespoke Training: We provide customised training services, either as a stand-alone product or as part of broader organisational changes
