I oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic direction of Equity Partnership, ensuring that LGBTQ+ voices are heard and valued. I’m passionate about equality and inclusion and dedicated to amplifying the voices of marginalized communities in decision-making.
Outside of work, I’m active in Girlguiding, love reading, and enjoy crafting, especially scrapbooking.

Role: Marketing & Communications and Groups Facilitator
I support social groups like Coffee Social, Games and Gab, Out of the Box Craft Group, and Out and About. I also create our monthly newsletter—so those emails are from me! I’m passionate about organising creative events for History Month and Pride Month, as well as building our zine library.
Outside of work, I perform in parades and have even learned to fire-breathe!

With over 40 years in the voluntary and community sector, I’ve supported charities in areas like training, fundraising, and volunteer management. I’ve also championed anti-racism and equality since the 1980s.
Why I Became a Trustee:
I wanted to help Equity Partnership create a safe, welcoming space for LGBTQ+ people and ensure our voices are heard.
Interesting Fact:
I enjoy working with stained glass and often join Equity’s craft sessions.
Kay Thomas

Professional Background:
I’m a Lead Business Analyst with over a decade of experience running my own company. I also champion diversity and inclusion within my workplace.
Why I Became a Trustee:
I’m committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community and ensuring Equity Partnership continues to provide vital support and education.
Interesting Fact:
I participate in live role-play events and have played characters like an elven magician and a Cornish witch!

I’m a huge fan of the Spice Girls and enjoy savoury treats like hummus and olives. My family includes my partner of 18 years, our young daughter, two cats, and a hamster!
