Charity means Bradford Equity Partnership, a registered charity.
GDPR means the General Data Protection Regulation.
Personal Data mean data relating to natural person, who can be identified or who are identifiable from the data in question; or who can be indirectly identified from that data in combination with other data.
Responsible Person means Andrea Allez – Charity Trustee Board Chairperson

In the event of a breach of security leading to the accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure of, or access to, personal data, the Charity shall promptly assess the risk to people’s rights and freedoms and if appropriate report this breach to the ICO within 72 hours (where feasible).
Where a breach is high risk and adversely affects individuals’ rights and freedoms, the individuals must be informed without undue delay.
Use of photographs:
Equity Partnership will occasionally take photographs at our events, to promote our services positively. Crowd photographs taken in a public place, for example a Pride event are not subject to GDPR legislation. Any photograph taken in the Equity Centre, at a private event, or that focusses upon an individual is subject to GDPR, and consent of any identifiable individual will be sought. We will be clear about how the photograph is to be used, and will seek renewed consent should we wish to use the image differently.
Some groups or individuals that use the Equity Centre may host their own social media content. Equity Partnership cannot accept responsibility for any photographs or information that is posted on social media that is not owned or controlled by ourselves.

Equity Partnership is the community organisation for LGBTQ+ people within the Bradford District.
We aim to ensure that LGBTQ+ people live happy, healthy and independent lives that are free from loneliness, isolation, prejudice and discrimination.
Our role is to provide an inclusive environment where all our members feel welcome, respected, safe and comfortable with being who they are. We also want to provide you with great service throughout your membership. This code helps all of us to understand what is expected of members – and what you can expect from us.
If a member does not comply with the expectations in this code, we will discuss the issue with you – but ultimately we reserve the right to cancel your membership.

In 2013 Equity Partnership conducted a Needs Assessment “It’s Not Just About Sex” to establish a baseline picture of both health and social care experiences and requirements in Bradford and District in the 16 – 26 years age group. Our Services
Equity Partnership provides a wide range of services to the LGBTQ+ wider community. Find out about the services we offer, from training, consultancy and research, to individual support. We also hire out our community space to like-minded organizations.

Support from Equity
Equity Partnership provides a wide range of support services to lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. Unfortunately, none of our staff are trained to give legal advice but we will do our best to find you the right support.
Our peer-led support groups include those for young LGBTQ+ people, and older LGBTQ+ people. All of our groups are referral only, please contact the admin email or phone our center for more information!
We also frequently run themed events such as intergenerational events, quizzes and Saturday Cafes. You can find out what’s on at the Equity Centre by visiting our events calendar, or you can contact us.
We also offer a sign-posting service. You can find information on our website about various external organisations offering support and advice, or you can contact the office and we can help put you in touch with the people you need.
Equity Partnership is also a hate crime reporting centre. You can find out how to report a hate crime, and if you need help reporting we can support you through the process.
Training
You may require training that is specific to the needs of your organisation. Do call us to discuss your requirements; you will find us to be competent and interesting training providers.
Our prices are very competitive, and the feedback on our training is entirely positive.
Consultancy
Equity Partnership is able to offer consultancy to statutory, voluntary and private sector organisations including schools and higher education establishments.
We can offer support in meeting the requirements of the Gender Recognition Act (2004) and the Equality Act (2010), regarding the rights of LGBTQ+ people. This may include:

Research
Research into the lives and experience of LGBTQ+ people is a fundamental part of Equity Partnership’s work. Without first-hand knowledge of issues impacting on LGBTQ+ colleagues and members we could not carry out development or policy work with credibility.

Centre Hire
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the centre is still available to hire. We have guidelines in place to ensure the safety of users and staff. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries about this.
The Equity Centre offers a relaxed meeting space, a fully-equipped training resource and a venue for events, right in the centre of Bradford. It’s an ideal meeting place for groups and is fully equipped for training events.
The Equity Centre is a self-contained space and is made up of a meeting room and lounge area with small kitchen attached. The kitchen includes a microwave, kettle, crockery and cutlery, a fridge and filter coffee making facilities.
When hiring the Equity Centre, you will usually also have use of the lounge area which enables you to meet, have break out groups and two separate spaces for a variety of uses.
The Centre has level access and is equipped with a hearing loop. The building has an accessible toilet. Please contact us if you need any further information.
