Equity Partnership has a small team of part-time workers. The office is usually staffed Tuesday to Thursday, although we often work evenings and weekends. Our office is located through the Equity Centre, and can be accessed by the same door you use to enter the Centre. Our team has a good knowledge of services in Bradford. If we can’t help you, we will try to find someone who can.
If you would like to work for Equity Partnership, our current job vacancies page lists all open positions.
Anne-marie – Project Development Worker
I’ve been around for a few years now, moving from volunteer to worker and back again in that time. I’m currently working on a project to create and implement an LGBTQ+ Inclusion Charter in the Bradford area. I also currently do some of the admin work, so if you email or phone the office, chances are I will be the one to respond!
Tahir – Partnership Co-ordinator
Although I come from a corporate background I have known and loved the Equity Partnership for a long time. As Partnership Co-ordinator my role involves consolidating all the funds and grants available to the Partnership, and working out how we can make the best of the funding available. I work closely with other local organizations supporting their initiatives, to make the centre, as a whole, more inclusive, inviting and welcoming.
Rach – Project Co-ordinator, Self-harm & Suicide Prevention Project
I started my working life as a youth & community worker in Bradford. After I qualified, I specialised in the drug and alcohol field; working in organisations across Leeds & Kirklees before coming back home in 2006. I worked for the Equity Partnership as a community development worker until 2017 and I am currently back working with EP on a short-term project. I have a passion for working with communities and feel I bring a listening ear and a community led problem solving approach.
Ann – Fundraiser
My background is in working with people, families and communities in a range of different settings. Since I have worked at Equity Partnership, I have met so many different people with diverse identities and outlook on life. Our communities defy definition, and this is what I most enjoy about my job.
The Board of Trustees at Equity Partnership is entirely made up of volunteers from the membership. Trustees are ultimately accountable for the organisation and their governance responsibilities include developing strategy together with the Chief Executive Officer, ensuring compliance with the law and maintaining proper financial oversight.
We are currently looking for new trustees so if you are interested, and already a member of Equity Partnership, you can find out more information on how to become a trustee or you can contact us to discuss your interest and arrange an informal meetup.

The people who volunteer for us here at Equity Partnership are without a doubt worth their weight in gold. From trustees, to group leaders, to those who help us in the office or to staff information stalls at events, as a charitable organisation, we wouldn’t be anything without our volunteers.
If you’d like to get involved on a voluntary basis with EP, you can find more information on our page Volunteering at EP.
