Legacy Giving

Creating a Legacy That Lasts a Lifetime

At Equity Partnership, we believe that planning your legacy is one of the most meaningful decisions you can make. By leaving a gift in your will, you can help shape a brighter future for the next generation of LGBTQ+ people.

Why Your Will Matters?

For many in the LGBTQ+ community, having a will is especially important. Many of us have chosen families — those who mean the most to us but may not be recognised under traditional inheritance laws. A will ensures that your wishes are honoured and that your loved ones, whether biological or chosen, are taken care of according to your intentions.

In England and Wales, if you pass away without a will, the law decides how your estate is distributed. This might not reflect what you truly want for the people and causes you care about most. A will gives you the power to choose and the opportunity to leave behind a legacy that supports the values and community close to your heart.

Leaving a Gift to Equity Partnership

By including Equity Partnership in your will, you are investing in a future where LGBTQ+ individuals feel supported, safe, and empowered. Your legacy can help us continue our vital work, ensuring that the next generation benefits from the inclusive and welcoming world we are striving to create.

How to Write a Will

Writing a will doesn’t have to be complicated. Once you’ve decided what you’d like your will to include, visit a solicitor to help put your wishes into a legal document. If you don’t have a solicitor, ask friends or family for recommendations or visit the Law Society to find one in your area.

By planning today, you are helping to build a lasting legacy of love, inclusion, and equality for tomorrow.
