2023-24 Review

Thanks to funding from trusts, foundations, and the local authority, as well as unrestricted funds raised independently, we have been able to maintain essential support and build infrastructure. The National Lottery funding in 2023/24 has been crucial, allowing us to expand our team and enhance our support groups and activities. This has re-established Equity Partnership as a central hub and LGBTQ+ champion in Bradford.

Looking ahead, we recognise the importance of securing our long-term financial stability. With increased competition for funding, we have launched a new fundraising strategy to diversify our income sources and work towards a sustainable model.

Throughout the year, Equity Partnership has strengthened partnerships with both voluntary and statutory organisations. We’re actively collaborating with local domestic abuse services, co-leading efforts to ensure LGBTQ+ identities are considered in the design of future support services.

Our community involvement remains strong, with participation in events such as IDAHOBIT, LGBTQ+ History Month, and Bradford Pride. We also supported Keighley Pride, leading the family and young people’s area to create a welcoming space for all.

We’re proud of our growing community engagement. Our monthly newsletter, reaching over 800 members, has led to an increase in attendance at our groups. Survey results show a significant rise in members who feel well-informed and connected, a testament to our commitment to fostering a supportive, inclusive community.
