PM’s Advisor dismayed at failure on conversion therapy

Nick Herbert is Boris Johnson’s advisor and a member of the LGBTQ+ community who has expressed his disappointment in the way conversion therapy ban has excluded the trans community. In response to the initial withdrawal and then partial reinstation of the ban, around 100 organizations including Stonewall have withdrawn themselves from the Safe to be me conference, which was to be held internationally and to focus on the rights of LGBTQ+ people.

Crowds gathered outside of Downing Street on Sunday to protest the way the ban has been implemented and although it is a huge win for the LGBTQ+ community, the fact that many of our trans siblings will still be left behind in this, has created uproar.
