Equity Partnership is a vibrant and inclusive community organization dedicated to empowering individuals from Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds. We provide a safe and supportive environment where people can connect, share experiences, and work together. Whether you’re looking to meet like-minded individuals, seek guidance, or get involved in meaningful change, our BAME groups are here to welcome and support you.
BAME Groups at Equity
Shade: A Safe Space for LGBTQ+ Youth of Colour
Shade is a dedicated bi-weekly group for LGBTQ+ young people of colour ages 13-18. It provides a safe, supportive space to discuss unique experiences, address particular challenges, and celebrate the strength of each individual.
Being young and LGBTQ+ can be both joyful and tough, and we understand that youth of colour face additional complexities. Shade helps young people find their footing in the “real world” while encouraging kindness, self-expression, and community support. BME Men’s Group
This is a weekly safe space for men of colour to meet and discuss their own particular challenges.
To make the groups more inclusive, we’ve worked with various external services and the Bradford Youth Service to improve membership forms, allowing complete confidentiality. This addition helps us ensure a high level of community confidentiality and we can proceed with the highest levels of discretion and care.
