The BAFTA-Recognised Aesthetica Short Film Festival (ASFF) returns 7-11 November, taking place across the city of York, UK.
Celebrating diversity and individual perspectives, Iris Prize Festival return to ASFF, showcasing a selection of LGBTQ+ shorts that ponder on the question of what defines a gay film. Audiences will have the chance to experience the breadth of gay cinema, through a curated collection of inspiring and thought-provoking short films.
With an introduction from Festival Director Berwyn Rowlands, these films offer a variety of approaches and examples of gay cinema, highlighting the relevance of coming out stories in 2018, the role of comedy and questioning whether LGBTQ+ film is an exclusive domain for the young and beautiful.
Hosted by Aesthetica Magazine, the ASFF celebrates its eighth edition, with a dynamic programme bursting with over 300 films screenings, over 80 industry-led masterclasses, various networking sessions and special events.
