Bradford Pride needs you!

Bradford Pride is the city’s annual festival of equality and diversity – a day when the whole community comes together in celebration of Bradford’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) communities.

7 reasons why you should support Bradford Pride:

1. Recognition – To recognise and celebrate the contribution of LGBT people as part of Bradford’s communities
2. Demonstration – To demonstrate your support for the equal rights of all Bradford’s citizens, regardless of sexuality, race, religion, gender, age or ability
3. Celebration – To show the world that Bradford is a truly diverse city, where everyone is treated fairly and everyone can celebrate together
4. Fun – Because Bradford Pride is one of the best events in the city’s annual cultural calendar, with entertainment and fun for everyone
5. Attraction – Because the Bradford Pride main event attracts new visitors into the city, to spend their money, have some fun, and take a great impression of Bradford with them
6. Pride – Because Bradford Pride brings Bradford’s people together for one day, in a peaceful, fun and joyful celebration that makes us all feel proud of Bradford
7. Bradford – Like nearly every city, Bradford should have its day of Pride

7 ways you can support Bradford Pride and do your bit to make it happen. Level 1 is the minimum we need, level 7 is for really dedicated supporters:

1. Support – join our facebook group and sign the petition in support of Bradford Pride as an annual event
2. Donate – make a financial contribution – whatever you can afford – see the link on the side of this page
3. Volunteer – your time, skills, contacts and energy, as a volunteer at the event, or in the planning stages
4. Fund-raise – run your own fund-raising event, do a sponsored walk or run, or use your imagination and talent to raise money for Bradford Pride
5. Influence – perhaps you have contacts, partners or influence that you can use to support Bradford Pride – if so, we’d like to hear from you
6. Advocate – tell your friends, colleagues, and contacts about Bradford Pride and encourage them to get involved and help
7. Be an Angel! – contribute a larger financial donation, sponsor the event in cash or in kind, and become an official ‘Bradford Pride Angel’, click here for more
