Leeds Gay Men’s Social Group
The Leeds Gay Men’s Social Group is a new group for gay men in the Yorkshire area. Its purpose is to enable gay men in the region to organise social events and aims to provide an alternative both to the commercial scene and to the anonymity of ‘tools’ such as Gaydar. The intention of the group is to create an environment in which people can meet, form friendships and possibly more.
Using Meetup anyone who’s a member of the group can propose any event they wish and use the group to publicise it. Hopefully that way we’ll get a diversity of different types of events being organised. Examples of events could be trips to the cinema, theatre, pubs, opera, football, rugby, bowling, art galleries, exhibitions, walks, white water rafting, sky diving (.. I might be getting carried away now). But really anything you want. Bisexual men are also welcome to join and so are people from outside of Leeds. By joining you are not committing to anything. You will get emails informing you of events but its up to you whether you attend any of them. Unlike Gaydar, GOC, Outdoor Lads and Out Everywhere there are no membership fees so why not give it a try?
