The Big Questions Broadcasting from Appleton Academy, Bradford

The Big Questions BBC1’s topical ethical debate show is now looking for audience members for series eleven. We will be broadcasting from Appleton Academy on the Sunday, 14th January and we would like to invite you to be part of the audience. This show will film live in the morning.

The Big Questions is the BBC’s flagship ethical and moral debate programme. It is hosted by the experienced television and radio presenter Nicky Campbell, and airs on Sunday mornings from 10am-11am and from locations all around the country. The show addresses tricky moral questions facing the nation today, consulting front row experts and a select studio audience. Beliefs, informed opinions and personal stories are all aired during three lively debates.

As an audience member, you may even get the chance to contribute to the discussions yourself, although due to the number of people in the audience we can’t guarantee this.

If you’d like a seat in either of the audiences, please contact the casting team, making sure to leave a contact phone number.

You are invited to attend the NHS Equality Delivery System (EDS2) Performance Panels in December 2017.

At the panels Airedale General Hospital Foundation Trust, Bradford District Care Foundation Trust and Bradford Teaching Hospitals Foundation Trust alongside the 3 CCG’s for Bradford and Airedale will present evidence to you on what they have been focussing on to tackle health inequalities and improve staff experience and satisfaction for people from the equality protected characteristic groups. That evidence will explain the impact that work has made and what the ongoing issues are for each organisation.

You will be able to decide whether the self-assessment grade that the organisations have given themselves for their work is the right grade based on the evidence you see and the information you hold in your role as VCS member, staff member or patient.

There are 4 panels. Please attend the one that is most relevant to you and/or your organisation. You may attend more than one. That way we get to hear from the community through your attendance.

Panel 1 Disability and Age 4 December 13:00 – 15:30

Room 6 at Bradford District Care Foundation Trust, New Mill, Saltaire

 Panel 2 Race and Religion or Belief 5 December 9:15 – 11:45

There is no payment for your involvement however the benefit is that you will shape how the organisations are recorded as performing, what their ongoing priorities need to be and what gaps we have and perhaps don’t know about.

If you have any queries or would like to attend please contact Lisa Wright, Head of Equality, Bradford District Care Foundation Trust, Mobile 07738985825,  Please state which community of interest you will be representing.
