Trustees Needed

Some of our valued trustees have moved onto pastures new, leaving us with vacancies for new trustees who identify as Trans and/or lesbian, gay or bi, who have the energy and vision to take the organisation forward.

We are particularly (but not only) seeking people who are able to represent Trans people, men and people from BME communities.  Enthusiasm and commitment are our first priorities, though financial, personnel, safeguarding  and marketing skills would be particularly welcome.  In return you will receive a warm welcome, training opportunities and valuable management experience. The board meets 10 times per year with occasional sub groups and training sessions.  If you are interesed please call Ann Kendal on 01274 727759.

Gendered Intelligence Survey

Gendered Intelligence have launched a major new survey of the quality of life of trans and gender nonconforming adults in England, in collaboration with Dr. Jo Lloyd, the Institute of Management Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London.

They want to look at both the positive and negatives aspects of people’s lives to get a broad picture of how trans and gender nonconforming people are living today in England. Research on transgender people is sparse compared to other marginalised groups. By taking part in the survey, you will help build up data about where and how transgender and nonconforming people live in England. They hope to repeat the survey every year to keep the study as up-to-date as possible.
