Pennine Domestic Violence Group based in Huddersfield are undertaking some research which is aimed at LGB and T* people living in Kirklees YOU DON’T HAVE TO HAVE EXPERINCED DOMESTIC ABUSE to fill it in and the questionnaire can be accessed following this link http://pdvg.org/lgb-t/. The Lord Mayor today raised the LGB and Trans flags in Centenary Square to celebrate the beginning of LGBT History Month.
Two undergraduate students from the University of Exeter are conducting research investigating the impacts of stigma amongst gay men as part of their final year project. Their project is being supervised by Dr David Doyle, a research leader in the area of stigma and sexual minorities.
The short survey can be accessed via https://exetercles.eu.qualtrics.com/SE/?SID=SV_0CE7tQwZZdIN4FL. Not only will participants be helping combat stigma and prejudice by taking part, but they will also have the chance to win one or two £50 amazon vouchers.
Bradford’s reputation as a welcoming and progressive city is both well deserved and good for everyone.
The Pride Awards will thank some of the people who help to build our city’s reputation at the same time as they help people from the LGBT community.
You can nominate someone for a Pride award, and the winners will be decided by a panel made up of representatives from the LGBT community, the Council and West Yorkshire Police.
Awards will be presented at a ceremony in City Hall on 22nd February during an evening of entertainment.

Celebrate LGBT History Month at Leeds City Museum with this FREE programme of films, stalls, activities and talks organised by Leeds Queer Film Festival on 18 February 2017 11-3pm. All are welcome to come along and get involved!
A selection of films on LGBT History from past festivals will be screened and there will be a panel discussion on local LGBT history.
There’ll be stalls of various local LGBT community groups so that you can find out about the great long-running and more recent LGBT support groups, campaigning groups and social groups in our city. This will be a great opportunity to find out about the work they do, how to get involved, support them, or how to get access to services you need.
There will also be various activities and workshops so you can tell your own story or just have some fun! They’ll all be on a drop-in basis throughout the day. Workshops will include:

Create DIY short films with Leeds Queer Film Festival FREE two day workshop for beginner film makers on Saturday 11th and 18th Feb at Leeds City Museum. Learn how to write, create, film and edit your own short film using your smart phone.
This workshop is for anybody over 18 who identifies as queer and has an interest in films. You do not need to have any experience. Participants will be using their smartphone to create short films with any completed ones to be shown at Leeds Queer Film Festival in March.
