Annual General Meeting, 8th November 2011
The 6th Annual General Meeting of the Bradford LGB Strategic Partnership (Equity Partnership) took place on Tuesday 8th November 2011. Below is the information made available before the event took place, and some documents which were made available on the night
On the night
TIME: 6pm for food. The meeting will begin at 6.45pm.
PLACE: Perkin Suite, The Colour Museum, Providence Street, Bradford BD1
During the course of the AGM some existing Trustees will stand down and new ones will be voted in by the members present at the meeting.
After the business of the AGM is completed Members will be asked to vote on some significant proposed changes to the constitution of our organisation.
The Board of Trustees feel it is time to update certain aspects of the constitution as a matter of course.
However, some more significant changes are being proposed as a direct result of a survey of our members conducted earlier this year, which indicated that the majority feel we should consider working with Trans communities (regardless of sexual orientation) in addition to our existing work with LGB communities.
Before the night
If you are a member of the Equity Partnership you are warmly invited to stand as a Trustee on the Board. You will need to complete your nomination form and have it signed by another member. This form must be sent back to Equity Partnership and received by 24th October.
Members also have the right to suggest alternative proposals regarding changes to the Constitution of the Organisation. These proposals must also be received by Equity Partnership no later than 24th October 2011.
The AGM is a real opportunity to get involved in the work of the Equity Partnership, nominate people who you think would make good Trustees and Board Members, and have a real say in how the organisation is run, including its constitution.
